Ella Rose Culliver was born in Century, Florida on June 15, 1932, to Jack and Betty Lee Cottrell. She finished her earthly course on June 8, 2023, at her home in Century, Florida at the age of ninety (90) years old.
Ella grew up in Century, Florida and there she attended school. She her life to Christ at an early age. She moved to Ann Arbor, MI, and remained there until she retired. Upon returning to Century, she served faithfully at Edward Point Christian Church singing in the choir, the women’s missionary board, and assisting wherever needed until her health declined.
She was the eldest of ten children born to her parents. She was preceded in death by her parents and seven (7) brothers; Cecil, Leroy, Willie, Napoleon, Cornelius, Alfonzie, and Andrew. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Isaiah Culliver, Sr., and two children, Christopher Bright and Alvin Culliver.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.She leaves to cherish her memory two brothers, James Cottrell of Brooklyn, NY and Leo Cottrell of Ann Arbor, MI; 5 sons, Isiah Culliver, Jr., Ricky Culliver, Ezzard Bright of Century, Florida, Bruce Bright of Los Angeles, CA and Eric Culliver of Arizona; four (4) daughters, Gail McGovern, Beverly Thomas, Angela Culliver of Ann Arbor, MI and Carla Dixon of Centruy, FL.; two sisters-in-law, Martha Cottrell and Nancy Cottrell of Century, Florida as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
